In our exchange office, we also purchase Swiss francs of series 6 and 8 withdrawn from circulation, more information on the following websites:
The Swiss franc was introduced in 1850 when it replaced other currencies that were in circulation in the cantons at the time, and monetary unification was aimed not only at positively changing trade but also at ensuring economic stability for the then young country. Initially, the franc was linked to the French franc, but over time it became an independent currency. Over the years, the franc has gained a reputation as a safe and stable currency, and Switzerland, which has never been involved in global armed conflicts, has strengthened its status as a neutral financial center. The stability of the franc is primarily due to the conservative monetary policy pursued by the Swiss National Bank SNB.
